A trip to Troy

We had a six hour trip, including a ferry ride, to the site of Troy. Troy is known for the famous battle, which featured an invasion of soldiers hidden in a "Trojan Horse" presented as a gift. Yes, that's me inside a replica of the Trojan Horse. However, while this is probably the most famous part of the legend of Troy, nobody knows if such a thing really existed.

Below are pictures of some of the ruins of Troy. An interesting fact - the city of Troy was actually built on top of itself seven times. The oldest ruins are nearly 3000 years old. There are many parts that are just in pieces because of the earthquakes in the area - there is a major one roughly every thirty years.
