For some reason - maybe because Turkey is considered, at times, to be part of the "Middle East", I thought the country was primarily desert. Well, I can certainly say that this is NOT the case on the western side of Turkey. I saw many miles of wheat and crops, along with many peach, cherry, apple, and olive trees.
