An important culture lesson..

There is an old saying: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." This applies to this visit and any other international visit any of us may make. Not only do we visit countries to learn about their cultures, customs, and heritage, but we also have a unique opportunity to represent our country. Based in how you act in a foreign country will determine what the residents of that country think of all Americans. As we visited schools today, I was reminded of that lesson several times when I watched the behavior of other Americans. It is such a rare opportunity to represent your country, and to do so positively is so important.
