This blog is all about my trip to Turkey, sponsored by UCPS and the Charlotte World Affairs Council. I'll be posting lots of pictures and descriptions so children can learn about this beautiful country, its customs, and the schools! This is aligned with the following competency goals in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for social studies: Kindergarten - Goals 1,2,5. Grade 1 - Goals 1,2,5. Grade 2 - Goals 1,2,3. Grade 3 - Goals 4,7.
